I cannot deny, every autumn/winter, I develop an affinity for the colour black. I am convinced I am not alone with this obsession, as this season sees a number of black-clad people roaming. Black is a staple colour for the cooler seasons, be it in suede or velvet, leather or wool, for every garment, black is the default, and it is not difficult to understand why.
These photos may appear a little monotonous, for the simple reason that I was far too cold to take off my coat! I was wearing a wonderfully soft angora jumper. To save myself from the effort of choosing a matching scarf, I went for a classic white collared shirt to wear underneath. I bought these suit trousers from Zara quite a while ago now, but the thick material is a god send for when the temperature drops. I find that skinny jeans are awful at keeping me warm, but maybe that’s just the jeans I wear.
These buckle chelsea ankle boots are a recent addition to my wardrobe. I love the cut out style, which you can’t see very well in these pictures, thanks to the fact I wisely chose to wear black socks. Nevertheless, these are probably my favourite chelsea ankle boots so far off this season; I do believe you can be this specific when it comes to boots, simply because there are so many different shapes and styles.
